Seasons of Life

Hello there!

Boy, October has quickly moved in and made itself known with a welcomed cool front this weekend!  So refreshing!  And oh, how I love seeing the colors of orange and yellow as they pop up here and there highlighting the landscape!

Just as the seasons come and go on the calendar, we experience different seasons of life, don’t we? Depending on where we are on our individual life journeys, we could be in a season of summer where we’re finally feeling the warmth of the sun shining down on our weary hearts after a long winter. Or, for others of us, we could be experiencing the season of winter where our hearts are struggling to find some comfort as the cold winds blow.  No matter what season you may be in at the moment, here’s a thought of encouragement to consider:

In Deuteronomy 11:11-12 (NLT) it says,

“… the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain – a land that the Lord your God cares for.

He watches over it through each season of the year!”

When I read this, I couldn’t help but think about how God not only takes care of the land through each season of the year, but He takes care of our souls, as well. As we walk through hills and valleys and different seasons of life, He watches over us. It brings me comfort and encourages me to know that no matter what season of life I may be going through, God is right there with me.  And He’s with you, too!
