A young mom leaves the hospital — her arms empty and her heart in pieces. She’s made the hardest decision of her life — to place her precious baby with a loving family through open adoption.

Today is Birthmother’s Day. A day to remember and honor those courageous women who have chosen life for their babies … and not just life, but a special life through an open adoption plan.

With this plan, correspondence, photos, and visits are shared throughout the years, and her child gets to grow up knowing how much he/she is loved and cherished.
